About

Despite being slap-bang in the middle of the country, Oxford is actually a pretty good windsurfing location! Just a ten minute bus ride from the city centre is Farmoor reservoir, a great spot which picks up plenty of wind, complete with a handy container for storing any kit you may have, so if you’re coming to oxford as a fresher, bring your windsurf kit! We have a number of qualified instructors who are always willing to lend a hand and help you progress, and we run frequent beginners’ sessions in the Autumn and Spring.
Members of the club are able to use the reservoir whenever they want and can also use the club’s equipment (free of charge after the initial club membership fee). We get to the coast as often as we can, compete against Cambridge in varsity, and go to Student Windsurfing Association events – awesome weekends suitable for everyone with both competition and beginners’ instruction.
Of course you can’t windsurf the whole time, so we have a busy social schedule to keep you out of mischief. Check the news page for the latest updates.
